Robert Schoultz (Board Member)
Bob Schoultz graduated from Stanford University in 1974 with a BA in Philosophy. He was commissioned an ensign in the United States Navy and entered Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training in Coronado California. He completed BUD/S training in the summer of 1975 then served as a Naval Special Warfare officer for the next 30 years, with numerous extended tours overseas in a wide variety of commands. He is fluent in German, and conversant in Spanish.
Highlights of his naval career include serving as Operations Officer of Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Commanding the Naval Special Warfare Unit in Panama responsible for all the SEALS and Special Boat training and operations in Latin America, and Commanding Naval Special Warfare Group Two responsible for all the SEAL Teams on the East Coast of the United States and supporting all operations in Europe, Africa, and Latin America. His last assignment in the Navy was as the Director of Leader and Character Development at the US Naval Academy, from which he retired as a Captain on 1 July, 2005.
Upon retiring from the Navy, he accepted the position as Director of the Master of Science in Global Leadership in the School of Business Administration at the University of San Diego, which he held from October of 2005 through November 2011. He also taught and continues to teach Business Ethics in the Global Market in this program. He is currently CEO of Fifth Factor Leadership, and serves on numerous not-for-profit and for profit boards.
